However everyday's comprehension tend to think lie detection has highest priority among several and widespread obtained evidences. Nevertheless the question is more than esoteric: why this tool should deserve a degraded fate in Hungarian Procedural Law? Also we guess why is it highlighted in the Code of Criminal Procedure in spite others are not and why this is presented and stipulated in details although others are significantly less detailed - or not? Not mentioning doubts in details it is time to ask however: is not this a question particularly having been pulled out from the environment of Common Law as if intruding into basically European (Roman) Law? Nevertheless I feel that lie detection has the dignity in evidence collection and proving - but must be in proper place in comparison with Common Law systems '- otherwise shall be avoided and used as before: one amongst others {primus inter pares) with not detailed ruling - in line with the decision of the Supreme Court of republic of Hungary referred. These are being examined by me in this small article. Try and enjoy.
