Maintenance planners of companies endeavor to do the same based on the available data, however, this strategy may not lead to adequate results for the company, moreover, shortage for some resources, e.g., manpower, equipment, founds, can also balk the execution of the plan. One could say that the solution to these issues is simple: a plan satisfying all the demands should be prepared. The known and well tested planning and analysis methods should be integrated in order for the companies to see opportunities in the new planning approaches. This is my interpretation of the thoughts of Milton Berte: “If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.” Following the quote from Hannibal: “We will either find a way, or make one”, I have selected away from the ones I found, and modified it to fulfill the aforementioned purposes. | |
