Carbon sphere templates were characterized by XRD, SEM, and IR measurements, while titanium dioxide hollow structures were characterized by XRD and SEM measurements, respectively. The photocatalytic activity was determined by the degradation of phenol under visible light irradiation. Self-made hollow sphere TiO2 (denoted as ‘Rutile-H2_HS’) possessed superior photocatalytic efficiency compared to commercial Evonik Aeroxide P25 and selfmade reference photocatalyst synthesized without shape tailoring. | |
