Tartalmi kivonat: | The article analyzes the Hungarian-language versions o f Vasyl Stefanyk’s short story The Stone Cross; the translators - Eva Grigashi and László Balia are presented; a detailed linguistic-stylistic and poetic analysis o f the artistic canvas o f a foreign text was carried out; a general assessment o f the representation o f V. Stefanyk’s heritage in the cultural space o f Hungary is given. It is concluded that the Hungarian cultural community was acquainted with the work of the Ukrainian classic, and the work of translators who made incredible efforts to reflect the phenomenal nature of his writing style deserves the attention of scholars and appreciation of the general readership. |
