Tartalmi kivonat: | This paper investigates the gipsy loan-words in Hungarian. Hungarian language has relatively few gipsy loan-word. The TESz. considers only 16 words undoubtly to be of gipsy origin while Kakuk (1997) mentions more than 300 words. Several etimologies established by Kakuk are found to be unsound. Using a number of corpus, I examined how wide spread the gipsy loan-words are in written language. Results show that these loan-words are getting to be elemental part of the written language in a measure depending on the type of the corpus. |
