Nevertheless, there are several theories concerning its genesis; myrmekite may form by igneous crystallization, solid state exsolution, progressive or retrograde metamorphism, metasomatism or even as a result of complicated deformation mechanisms. In this paper a brief compilation of these models is given and classified by myrmekite forming processes instead of rock types or minerals involved. |
