| Tartalmi kivonat: | Leon Battista Alberti's treatise on painting has two versions; the Latin one, i.e. De pictura was finished in 1435 while the Italian version, i.e. Della pittura, was written one year later. Both of them are Alberti's own work. There are eighteen Latin codices which contain the Latin version but only three which have the Italian one. Modern editions prepared translations on the basis of Latin or Italian version: the English (1956, 1972) and the French (1993) editions are translations of De pictura, while the German edition (1877) is a translation of Della pittura. The present study proposes to give a new conception of edition. It suggests to prepare a version which would be the translation of the Italian text with the interpolation of Latin paragraphs missing from the Italian version. It is also suggested that the original Italian text should be revised on the basis of the Ms.Magliabechiano of Florence. The problems of correct Hungarian terminology on Renaissance art theory are also treated. |
